Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) is seeking an Electrical SME to provide expert guidance on electrical systems across a commercial real estate portfolio. You will lead design reviews, assess system performance and reliability, and support capital planning for upgrades and energy-efficiency initiatives. Partner with facility managers, project teams, and vendors to resolve complex issues, ensure code compliance, and improve uptime.
You will develop standards, mentor engineers and technicians, and support sustainability, smart-building, and technology-enabled solutions in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical oversight of building electrical systems across a commercial real estate portfolio
- Review designs and specifications for new installations, upgrades, and tenant improvements
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local electrical codes and standards
- Analyze system performance, uptime, and power quality; recommend reliability improvements
- Support capital planning, budgeting, and lifecycle strategies for electrical infrastructure
- Drive energy-efficiency, sustainability, and smart-building initiatives
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and guide root cause analysis
- Develop and maintain electrical standards, specifications, and best practices
- Collaborate with facility managers, project teams, and external vendors/contractors
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians on electrical best practices and safety
