Part-Time Recreation Leader - Milford Rec Center

Position Information

There is one position located in the Parks Department at the Milford Recreation Center; 675 Smyrna Powder Springs RD SW, Marietta GA 30060.

• Night and weekend shift support: primarily work nights and weekends and assist with custodial duties such as cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and general upkeep of the facility.
• Customer service: perform customer service functions; provide information or assistance regarding services, activities on the phone and in person, forms, procedures, fees, or other issues; respond to routine questions and complaints; research problems and initiate problem resolution; refer complaints/problems to appropriate personnel.
• Registrations and scheduling: process participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations, and other scheduled services and events; receive requests for classes, court times, or other scheduled services; review registration forms for accuracy and completeness; enter information into online database and calendars; collect and record fees; maintain related documentation.
• Facilities preparation: prepare facilities according to daily schedule; open and close facility; unlock and lock doors; turn lights on or off; disarm and set alarm; move, set up, and tear down tables, chairs, etc.; perform routine cleaning duties such as emptying trash and sweeping floors.
• Attendance and duties: maintain attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances for this position; perform other related duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by one year of work experience that shows an ability to maintain steady employment in any field.

  Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, smoke, noise extremes, and electric currents.
