Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a regional nonprofit hospital system with $2.8B in net revenue, four acute-care hospitals, an employed physician group of 600 providers, and a growing ambulatory footprint. The system holds strong market share and an investment-grade rating, and is executing a deliberate margin recovery plan.

Reporting to the System Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Vice President of Finance will own financial operations across the system, leading the margin recovery program, supporting payer strategy, and directing capital planning. The role is scoped as the CFO's operational right hand and a credible successor over time.

• Own system financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and decision support across four hospitals and the physician enterprise
• Lead the margin recovery program: labor cost optimization, purchased services rationalization, and length-of-stay economics
• Direct financial support for payer negotiations, including value-based contract modeling
• Own capital planning and allocation across facilities, ambulatory expansion, and technology
• Strengthen physician enterprise economics, including compensation model redesign support
• Produce board finance committee reporting and rating agency materials
• Lead a finance organization of 120 through modernization of systems and analytics.

• 15+ years of progressive healthcare finance leadership, with senior roles inside multi-hospital systems
• A documented margin improvement story in the post-COVID cost environment, with numbers attached
• Command of hospital economics: labor, payer mix, service-line profitability, and physician enterprise dynamics
• Capital planning leadership at institutional scale
• Executive presence for board committees and rating agencies

Base salary of $460,000 to $510,000, positioned at the upper end of the market for system finance leadership, plus a management incentive plan and executive retirement benefits.
