Job Description:

The DHS’ Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) / Office of Family Independence (OFI) is seeking candidates to fill several positions as an Pathways Eligibility Specialist 2 in the Statewide Field Support Unit. This unit is assigned to the Pathways program. It requires involvement in multiple programmatic areas to include monitoring participation in qualified activities, coordinating with the SNAP E & T Unit for the ABAWD population, making referrals to Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA), and collaborating with other internal and external partners.

SALARY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE FOR THIS POSITION.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, the Eligibility Specialist 2 determines initial and/or continued Pathways eligibility and participation requirements through documented interviews and utilization of resources. This position reports to the Pathways Eligibility Specialist Supervisor.
- Determines eligibility for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs (SNAP), Family Medicaid (FM), Aged, Blind and Disabled Medicaid (ABD), and Pathways.
- Processes applications and/or reviews using appropriate criteria and policies consistently and according to established guidelines.
- Records and evaluates personal and financial data obtained from individuals.
- Keys in a high volume of data using standard office hardware and software.
- Monitors participation in qualified activities.
- Coordinates with the SNAP E & T Unit for the ABAWD Population.
- Makes referrals to Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA).
- Collaborates with other internal and external partners.
- Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED AND (1) one year of related experience which involved customer contact/interaction.

Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience:
- Experience as an Eligibility Spec 2 (SST
071) working in two programs. You MUST be prepared to immediately train and successfully complete training for a third program.
