Hourly, Non-Exempt with no Benefits – PRN, Predominantly Weekend 12 Hour Shifts

Hourly Rate Range: $12.00 – $19.00

General

Job Description

Responsible for sexual assault victim calls and direct service to victims of sexual assault during shift, maintaining constant coverage of the crisis line. Direct service to include meeting victims as needed in the community and offering supportive services. Employed by the Executive Director but reports to the Sexual Assault Program Manager for guidance, supervision, and evaluation.

Qualifications for Position
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Completion of a high school or general equivalency diploma (GED). required.
  • Computer skills sufficient to participate in webinars, utilize work email, and enter data into the Apricot program management software program accurately and timely.
  • Working knowledge of sexual assault and advocacy of its survivors.
  • Ability to work sensitively with traumatized assault survivors.
  • Ability to work well independently with integrity and as a team member.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse staff, volunteers, and clients.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and respond to emergency calls.
  • Dependable transportation and valid GA Driver’s License
  • CPR and First Aid training preferred or will be mandated initial training.
  • A physical exam and criminal record check are required prior to shift work
Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards
  • Provide sexual assault advocacy service to survivors during shift, supporting the Crisis Line at all times.
  • Document in a timely and accurate manner all sexual assault advocacy services.
  • Provide advocacy-based counseling to victims of sexual assault in an emergency setting.
  • Serve as a relief for the Sexual Assault Program Manager during the week if needed.
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings and communicate pertinent client information to the Sexual Assault Program Manager.
  • Attend all trainings required by the organization.
  • Adhere to agency policies and work rules including confidentiality, child abuse reporting and code of ethics. Maintain professional boundaries with sexual assault survivors.
  • Participate in RCPCH outreach activities/events.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by the Sexual Assault Advocacy Program Manager/Executive Director/Assistant Director.
  • Receive a minimum of 24 hours of training prior to beginning work with a total of 30 hours training in year one of employment. After the first year, receive a minimum of 15 hours of training annually.
