Job Overview
Join our team as a Mainframe Solution Architect on the Enterprise Architecture Team, focusing on IBM Mainframe applications and solutions. The role translates business requirements into technical solutions, collaborates with architecture and development teams, and provides technical leadership across multiple teams.
Responsibilities- Translate business requirements into technical solutions for complex IBM Mainframe applications and integrations.
- Work directly with Application Architects and delivery teams to implement solutions and support production deployment.
- Communicate architecture and enterprise standards, ensuring adherence across all Mainframe and integrated applications.
- Provide technical leadership and guide teams during transition of Mainframe workloads to other platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with large development teams and other architects on modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency in COBOL, DB2 SQL, and z/OS, with expertise in programming with COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
- Experience with RACF, CICS transactions, SERVAUTH, and familiarity with scalability and concurrent processing.
- Knowledge of zOSMF, image copy/reorg/load/unload utilities; understanding of Enterprise Design Patterns.
- Experience with z/OS Connect, and optional knowledge of Python or Java.
- Experience with modern No
SQL databases (e.g., Mongo
DB) and cloud solutions such as Databricks is desirable. - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
Salary range: $170,000 – $180,000 per year. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
