In Epic consulting at PwC, you will specialise in providing consulting services for Epic software solutions. Your work will involve possessing in‑depth knowledge of Epic applications and assisting clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.

Core

Responsibilities

Responsibilities involve end‑to‑end support for assigned Epic applications, including design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing optimisation.

Analysis / Design
  • Participate in needs assessments and gather business/clinical requirements
  • Assist in designing and configuring Epic workflows aligned to operational needs
  • Collaborate with SMEs to improve workflow efficiency and resolve system issues
  • Support functional and integrated testing, including test script development
  • Assist in user access/security configuration under established governance
  • Support migration of build to production environments
Clinical / Business Knowledge
  • Develop working knowledge of assigned clinical or business operations
  • Partner with operational teams to support workflow design and system enhancements
  • Participate in meetings to provide application expertise and support
Testing
  • Perform unit testing of assigned builds and assist other application analysts as needed
  • Perform functional and integrated testing of software to ensure design objectives are met, including development and validation of testing scripts
Maintenance / Support
  • Support and troubleshoot interfaces for inbound/outbound transaction errors; monitor interface error queues
  • Troubleshoot application issues, with or without vendor assistance, to resolution
  • Adhere to change control processes per best practice to protect the system(s)
Administrative Documentation Requirements
  • Develop policies and procedures in collaboration with clinicians, other system analyst team members, and the IT Epic team manager
  • Create and maintain system documentation; ensure it is updated accurately and timely
Qualifications

What You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year of experience

What Sets You Apart

  • At least 1 year of experience in US Healthcare
  • Any Epic certification
  • Knowledge of US healthcare workflows, including clinical, revenue cycle, or operational
  • Knowledge of technical product roadmaps and determination of support requirements
  • Team orientation and proven ability to work across boundaries up and down the organization
  • Innovative problem‑solving skills and excellent written, briefing, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of industry standards and audit requirements
  • Prioritizing workloads, meeting deadlines, managing several broad‑scope projects at one time, utilizing time effectively for staff and self
  • Interpersonal skills in dealing effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities
  • Project management skills for cross‑team and internal projects
Travel Requirements

Up to 20% travel expected.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $63,000 – $140,000. Compensation within the range will depend on individual skills, experience, qualifications and location. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
