Position Summary
The Enterprise Applications Programmer Analyst is responsible for the design, development, implementation, integration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise business applications that enable Columbus Water Works to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.
The position develops software solutions, SQL Server databases, reports, Power BI dashboards, REST API integrations, and Microsoft 365 solutions while supporting enterprise platforms including Lawson ERP, ADP, AUS Infinity CIS, Cityworks, and other SaaS applications. Working within a small Information Services department, this role requires versatility across application development, databases, infrastructure, Windows and Linux systems, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
Essential Functions- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and integrations.
- Develop and maintain REST API integrations between on‑premises and SaaS applications.
- Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and SQL reporting solutions.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, executive reports, and operational analytics.
- Develop Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Power Automate business solutions.
- Maintain source code using Git Hub and follow development standards.
- Support Lawson ERP, ADP, AUS Infinity CIS, Cityworks, and other enterprise applications.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues across applications, APIs, databases, Windows and Linux servers, and enterprise networks.
- Collaborate with Network Administrators, Application Specialists, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in software testing, change management, disaster recovery, and technology modernization projects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and end‑user documentation.
- Provide Tier III application support and mentor users on enterprise technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Information Services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years of enterprise application development or systems integration experience.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T‑SQL, REST APIs, Git Hub, Power BI, Microsoft 365, and SQL reporting, Crystal Reports.
- SQL Server, SQL, Python, C#/.NET, Power Shell, SharePoint Online, Power Automate.
- Windows Server and Linux administration.
- TCP/IP networking fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, SSL certificates.
- Experience supporting Lawson ERP, ADP, AUS Infinity CIS, Cityworks, and other enterprise SaaS applications.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional work in server rooms and utility facilities. Must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and travel between facilities.
Working ConditionsPrimarily indoor office environment with occasional exposure to industrial utility environments. Participation in after‑hours maintenance, system upgrades, and emergency support.
