Associate General Counsel

This position will perform critical legal functions on behalf of its family of world‑class consumer product companies that compete in the global marketplace. The General Counsel’s office is a fast‑paced environment that addresses many areas of the law. We are seeking a candidate with significant experience in any of the following areas: global consumer products companies, commercial contracts, real estate, corporate governance, merger and acquisitions, intellectual property, products liability and risk management, litigation, and international affairs.

• Work directly with General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel on wide variety of legal matters affecting global consumer products companies.
• Must have sufficient experience to exercise independent judgment but also enjoy working as part of a very collaborative team.
• Daily interaction with business team members is required, so good communication skills are a must, including the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex legal issues to non‑lawyers.
• Will assist in supervising a group of accomplished paralegals, working cooperatively as a team.
• Manage outside counsel to successful results on time and on budget.

• J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
• License to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction, Georgia preferred
• 5+ years’ legal experience in areas relevant to consumer products companies
• Some domestic and international travel required

• Must be a self‑motivated team player, capable of working with small groups or independently. Accountability and integrity are critical traits.
• Excellent attention‑to‑detail, project management, written/verbal communication, organizational and prioritization skills are musts.
• Willingness to work long hours as needs of projects dictate.
• The ability to meet deadlines and monitor budgets is crucial.
