The Data Center Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operation of an assigned Duos Edge AI data center. The facility is a multi-tenant, mission-critical environment supporting high-density GPU compute and colocation workloads. The Data Center Manager maintains operational readiness as the site grows, customer capacity expands, and additional infrastructure is placed into service.

Key Responsibilities Facility Operations
  • Own 24/7 operational availability of the facility, including power, cooling, environmental, life-safety, and supporting systems, in accordance with contracted uptime commitments.
  • Own preventive and reactive maintenance procedures for critical and general facility systems, including scheduling, execution, documentation, and oversight of vendor-performed maintenance.
  • Exercise stop-work authority over any activity that places the facility, personnel, contractors, customers, or tenant equipment at risk.
  • Manage the transition from construction and commissioning into live operations, including formal acceptance of systems, documentation, warranties, and open punch-list items.
  • Maintain and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and change-control requirements for all critical systems.
  • Oversee capacity management as the site grows, including power, cooling, space, and tenant allocation.
Critical Infrastructure Management
  • Manage electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, switch gear, grounding, and related infrastructure, including load balancing and power-factor performance against actual IT load.
  • Manage mechanical and cooling systems, including liquid-to-chip cooling and containment configurations serving high-density racks.
  • Monitor and report Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), capacity utilization, system performance, alarms, and overall infrastructure health.
  • Coordinate testing, maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle planning for critical infrastructure while minimizing operational risk.
Customer and Tenant Operations
  • Serve as the primary on-site operational point of contact for GPU-as-a-service, colocation, and other facility customers.
  • Own customer remote-hands requests from receipt through completion, ensuring response-time commitments are met, and all work is accurately documented.
  • Receive, inspect, log, stage, secure, and manage customer equipment deliveries and inventory through handoff for installation.
  • Coordinate tenant installations, moves, adds, changes, access requirements, and maintenance activity with security, IT, vendors, and the NOC.
  • Deliver against tenant service-level agreements and Ready-for-Service commitments, and manage change control for tenant-affecting work.
Team and Vendor Management
  • Manage, direct, and develop on-site data center personnel while remaining willing and able to contribute hands-on when operationally necessary.
  • Own staffing schedules, task assignments, on-call coverage, training, performance management, and development for site personnel.
  • Manage service contracts and vendor relationships for critical and general facility systems.
  • Coordinate and control contractor activity on site, including ongoing construction during phased build-out, without compromising live operations.
Safety, Security, Compliance, and Incident Response
  • Own site safety and enforce safety procedures for employees, customers, vendors, and contractors working in a live electrical and mechanical environment.
  • Coordinate physical security, access control, visitor management, camera coverage, and site-security procedures with the Director of Operations and corporate security resources.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable codes, permits, company standards, and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements.
  • Maintain site Business Continuity, Emergency Action, and incident-response plans; lead site response and post-incident reviews.
  • Ensure all operational work is performed under approved procedures, change control, and risk-management…
