• Perform a wide variety of the more complex work within a manufacturing area including set-up and operation of multiple machines and processes, meaningful assistance in the maintenance/tool services area, and significant participation in team administration.
• Comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Set up, operate, or tend presses and forging machines to taper, shape, or form metal.
• Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure conformance to product specifications.
• Read work orders or blueprints to determine specified tolerances and sequences of operations for machine setup.
• Position and move work pieces through a series of dies that compress and shape stock to form die impressions.
• Start machines to produce sample work pieces, observe operations to detect malfunctions and verify that machine setups conform to specifications.
• Remove dies from machines when production runs are finished; adjust pressures and depths of ram strokes and synchronize machine operations.
• Set up positioning fixtures, stops and specified dies to rams and anvils, forging rolls, or presses and hammers.
• Trim and compress finished forgings to specified tolerances; measure thickness and concentricity; read forge blueprints.
• Build heat-treat load per work instruction and load/unload furnace; calculate time in furnace requirements and understand load diagrams and instructions.

• High school Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts

• Some vocational technical school experience preferred
• Analytical Skills
• Creative troubleshooting skills
• Possess excellent judgement and professional maturity
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures

This role is described to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. Roles are described as Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote. Onsite roles require regular presence at the assigned site;
Hybrid roles involve both onsite and offsite work;
Remote roles are primarily offsite. This description covers typical expectations; exact status will be clarified during recruitment.

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
