Manufacturing Engineer
What You Will Do
- Actively engage safe work practices in support of our EHS Policy and Cardinal Rules
- Foster an approachable, supportive team culture that encourages skills development, sharing of best practices, and team growth to meet ongoing business needs
- Develop and maintain up-to-date tooling procedures and standard work compliance to immediately address and mitigate production risks and workstops
- Embrace our Continuous Improvement Operating System using audits, assessments, and problem‑solving methods to align goals, achieve efficiencies, and deliver business results
- Track and report on budget controls, initiate capital expenses and purchase orders working with suppliers to close open tooling deliveries
- Ensure WIP readiness across all engine models/campaigns
- Maintain accurate inventory and location data
- Repair all broken tools and collect trending data to identify tooling shortfalls
- Manage tool bulletins and tool upgrades for latest/greatest standard
- Close relationship with process engineering to modify/upgrade tools for shop‑requested process improvements
- Launch Tooling Management System
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Aerospace, Military or Aviation industry; or Advanced degree and 3 years of experience as listed
- Experience working with Solumina, SAP, and MS Office
- Tool & Die / Drawing / Blueprint Experience
- 2 years of leadership experience or performing a supervisory, manager, or team‑lead role
- Experience working with Solumina, SAP, and MS Office
- Tool & Die / Drawing / Blueprint Experience
- Aftermarket MRO industry, turbine engine overhaul and repair experience (FAR 145)
- Lean manufacturing experience, and/or CORE, ACE, Six‑sigma training
- Organizational, planning and project management skills. PMP certification a plus
- Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Ability to motivate teams to achieve business goals
Location:
Columbus, GA
Compensation: $86,800 to $165,200 USD annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, parental leave, and more. Eligible for incentive programs.
