Bio Touch is seeking a results-driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations within our Columbus, Georgia facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of customer products while meeting quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.

The Production Manager will provide leadership across multiple production departments and shifts, driving operational excellence, employee development, continuous improvement, and accountability throughout the manufacturing operation. This individual will partner closely with Warehouse, Materials, Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Human Resources to support customer commitments and organizational growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on manufacturing leader with experience managing high‑volume production environments, developing frontline leadership teams, and implementing process improvements that drive measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are achieved.
  • Lead production supervisors, team leads, and hourly employees across assigned departments and shifts.
  • Monitor production schedules and staffing requirements to meet customer demand and operational goals.
  • Ensure production activities are executed in compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive accountability through daily performance management and operational reviews.
Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a culture of safety throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety audits and participate in incident investigations.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions to reduce workplace incidents and safety risks.
  • Promote employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
  • Partner with Quality leadership to ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production quality metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities related to quality concerns, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
  • Drive a culture of ownership and accountability for product quality.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high‑performing production teams.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures.
  • Conduct performance reviews, talent assessments, and succession planning activities.
  • Develop supervisors and team leads to build leadership bench strength within the organization.
  • Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across production operations.
  • Utilize operational metrics and data analysis to identify opportunities for productivity improvements.
  • Drive waste reduction, labor efficiency improvements, and process standardization efforts.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations leadership to implement process enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Lead Kaizen events and root cause problem‑solving activities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Materials, Warehouse, Procurement, and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment effectiveness.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives and material flow improvements.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 3+ years managing supervisors and larger hourly work forces.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing, assembly, packaging, or distribution operations.
  • Demonstrated success improving productivity, quality, and operational performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
