Die Technician

Under the direction of the Tool and Die Supervisor, works from plots to plan and perform the work required to construct and troubleshoot metal forms (dies) which are used in manufacturing precision metal parts.

Education and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Nine months of experience in die making
  • Possess the ability to read plots, basic mathematical ability
  • Working knowledge of metric measuring system, calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges

Preferred:

  • Graduate of a two year course in basic machining
  • Basic programming experience
  • One or more years of experience in machine shop and/or die making
  • Possesses the ability to perform basic functions on a computer
Maintenance Technician

Repairs and maintains production machines and facilities equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and computers. Assists with other maintenance tasks as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.

Education and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification in industrial electrical or industrial maintenance or three years of experience of industrial machine repair experience

Preferred:

  • Four years or more of experience as an industrial machine repairer in some or all of the following areas: hydraulics, electrical systems, welding, precision measuring instruments, power tools, and computer skills.
Production Apprentice

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, and more skilled Production Operators and Technicians, operates press machines, robot press lines, or welding machines in a process that produces precision stamped metal components. Assists in the equipment set up and changeovers of production lines. Performs trouble shooting, repairs, and adjustments as needed.

Education and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some experience as a machine operator
  • Possesses the ability to perform basic functions on a computer
  • Possesses the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Preferred:

  • One or more years of experience as a machine operator
  • Two or more years of progressive production experience in press operations
Production Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities in the Production Area. Is responsible for all team members assigned to this area, the production schedule, equipment maintenance, and material usage. Maintains written documentation of all activities.

Education and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience as a Lead Production Technician at Oneda Corporation or two years of experience as a Lead Technician or supervisor in a similar manufacturing environment

Preferred:

  • Three years or more of experience as a Lead Production Technician or supervisor in a similar industry
  • Technical vocational and/or two- four years of college education
Forklift Operator

Assists with general warehouse and customer shipment functions. Completes all activities to meet shipping schedule time requirements and warehouse storage procedures. Also operates a forklift to transport, load, unload, and stack large and/or heavy items within plant #1 and plant #2.

Education and experience:

  • Uses a forklift – stack and pull wip cages and/or pallets into production areas using fifo – place coil in assigned staging areas for ry and blanking – move completed parts from robot lines and utility to correct next location – empty scrap containers from production areas. – place finished goods inventory in assigned storage area – load and unload shipments from trucks
  • Uses erp system to – load wip parts into jobs for hand press and spot weld area – assist other team members with entering information into plex – load wip parts or coils into jobs for ry and blanking areas – determine correct destination in plant #1 and/or plant #2 and move parts to that area. – check inventory for correct item identification, packing and pallet condition and adherence to stacking specifications.
  • Supports the warehouse with shipments and storage procedures when needed.
  • Cleans work area to include sweeping, mopping, and trash removal in warehouse and plant #1.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Tool and Die Supervisor

    Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in production and repair of metal working dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges and cutting tools, by applying the knowledge of design machining and tool and die construction.

    Education and experience:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • One year of experience in a leadership role in the Tool and Die Shop
    • Graduate of a technical school with a degree in machining
    • Two years of experience in die making
    • Basic experience in programming of CNC and EDM
    • Working knowledge of the metric measuring system, calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges
