Description Join a Team That Keeps Production RunningPanasonic Energy Corporation of America (PECA) is seeking a skilled Machine Keeper (Mechanic) to help maintain and improve our manufacturing equipment. If you enjoy troubleshooting mechanical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and solving equipment issues in a fast-paced production environment, we'd love to hear from you.
The Machine Keeper (Mechanic) should have the capability to read and interpret process information; and understand the impact their actions have on the quality objective.
Pay/Schedule- Up to $28.84/hour + Shift Differential Pay is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
- Shift Differential: Additional $1.00/hour for 2nd shift
- Train on 1st Shift, Move to 2nd Shift After Training
- Training: 1st Shift (Typically 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, occasional weekends)
- After Training: 2nd Shift (5:30 PM - 4:00 AM)
As a Machine Keeper, you'll be responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Inspect machines, gauges, sensors, belts, chains, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
- Repair or replace worn and damaged components
- Assist with machine startups and operational testing
- Work with technicians and production teams to minimize downtime
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce defects
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory counts
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of technical training, related maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Ability to read technical documents, procedures, and safety instructions
- Basic math skills including measurements, fractions, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment
- Manufacturing maintenance experience
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, or automated equipment
- Experience supporting high-volume production environments
This position requires:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching
- Lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Working around moving machinery, electrical systems, noise, heat, and other industrial conditions
