Director of Campaign and Funding Development
Location:
Forsyth County/Cumming, GA
Position Summary:
The Talmadge Group has been retained by the United Way of Forsyth County to spearhead the search for a Director of Campaign and Funding Development.
The United Way of Forsyth County is seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Campaign and Funding Development to lead our fundraising initiatives and build strategic partnerships that enhance our community's resources. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for nonprofit excellence, community engagement, and resource development.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Campaign Management:
- Develop and execute annual fundraising campaigns to support United Way's mission.
- Identify and cultivate new and existing corporate and individual donors.
- Represent United Way at public venues, including workplace campaigns, special events, and community activities.
- Monitor and report fundraising progress, analyze trends, and set performance goals for future campaigns.
- Manage contacts and donor data using CRM tools and ensure timely donor recognition and appreciation.
Volunteer and Committee Management:
- Serve as the primary staff resource to the Board Resource Development Committee and Campaign Chair.
- Develop training materials and conduct training for campaign coordinators and volunteers.
- Collaborate with volunteers to evaluate and improve campaign components.
Event Planning and Sponsorship:
- Assist in planning and executing events, including securing sponsor ships.
- Create campaign materials and content for the website and social media.
Strategic Development:
- Assess potential development opportunities, including foundations, grants, planned giving, and endowment building.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in resource development.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, or nonprofit management is highly desirable.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to relate well with diverse groups.
- Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional presentation skills and ability to connect with audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Enthusiastic, creative, and self-motivated.

- Flexible schedule to attend occasional early morning, evening, or weekend events.
