Job Description:

• Intermediate care nursing unit with one negative pressure room and 1 room equipped with bariatric ceiling lift. As a surgical trauma unit, care is rendered to a variety of intermediate care trauma and surgical patients including but not limited to:
  • Trauma patients requiring more frequent monitoring. Which may include advance respiratory support such as BiPap, HiFlo Oxygen, Vapotherm and trached patients requiring chronic ventilator support
  • Trauma surgery and related injuries requiring more frequent monitoring
  • Orthopedic trauma and related injuries requiring more frequent monitoring
  • Trauma acute care surgery patients requiring more frequent monitoring
  • Other surgical patients requiring more frequent monitoring admitted by trauma and acute care surgery
  • Secondary placement for post TPA patients requiring more frequent monitoring
