The Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic, patient-centered nursing care to an incarcerated population within the scope of practice. The RN works under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, identify, and respond to patients’ medical, mental health, and psychosocial needs.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control procedures
- Associate’s degree in nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (MSL or Compact)
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to obtain required security clearance, including drug screen and background check
- Pay: $44–$49 per hour based on experience
- Weekend shift differential: $1.00 per hour
