Job Summary
This part‑time position at Bio Life involves screening donors and performing phlebotomy to support plasma center operations. Working 4‑6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week, you will help our donors experience a smooth, safe, and welcoming process.
Responsibilities- Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety.
- Screen new and repeat donors, take and record vital signs and finger‑stick results.
- Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
- Identify operational opportunities, propose process improvements, and implement changes using approved procedures.
- Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk/stand, lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical strength to lift 5lb. routinely and up to 32lb. occasionally (rarely 50lb).
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
- 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to blood borne pathogens (risk level1).
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful.
Starting hourly wage: $16.00 (actual wage adheres to local minimum wage requirements).
