Responsibilities
This role involves coordinating the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and managing operational issues during the shift. The nurse provides clinical care as needed based on patient census and communicates patient care updates, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership. They serve as a resource and guide for staff members.
QualificationsQualifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's preferred), at least 1 year of hospital nursing experience (2+ preferred), and licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or through multistate licensure.
Required certifications include:
- BCLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy
- NRP
- PEARS
Additional certifications such as AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and PALS for pediatric care may be required depending on the unit. Emergency Department nurses must obtain PALS within 30 days.
The position is based at Piedmont Columbus Northside.
