Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Stocking

Responsibilities- Keep the bakery department well stocked and visually appealing.
- Smile and greet customers, make product suggestions, and answer questions.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and courteously.
- Take customer orders over the phone or in person with a pleasant attitude.
- Determine customer preferences for size, flavor, and appearance.
- Set up special‑order tables during peak hours and for shopping days.
- Set bakery cases and build displays as needed.
- Write on cakes when required.
- Ensure merchandise is fresh, saleable, and properly priced with correct signage.
- Handle spoiled, damaged, or near‑expiration product according to company procedures.
- Remove non‑saleable product to maintain quality.
- Assist with the production of breads, pastries, and other baked goods.
- Use production logs and approved recipes for all baked items.
- Perform general sanitation of the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines.
- Dispose of trash properly.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, checking‑in, breaking‑down, and storing deliveries, using a power jack or hand jack when trained.
- Assist with baling cardboard or related duties when trained.
- Help minimize shrinkage and control damages.
- Report shortages or overages to management.
- Cooperate with co‑workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store function.
- Continuously improve job performance.
- Use all company‑provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as cut‑resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company‑sponsored footwear.
- Be prepared to assist in other departments as needed.
This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- Completed or working toward a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- No prior experience required.
- Competitive pay ranging from $15.92 to $23.00 per hour.
- Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan with 100% in‑network coverage for all preventive care services required by the Affordable Care Act.
