• Lead a winning team on your shift; set a cheerful, can‑do tone that motivates associates.
• Provide clear direction and step in to assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, cash handling, and other shift duties.
• Coach team members in real‑time, offering guidance and support throughout the shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, de‑escalating conflicts and escalating when necessary.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring compliance with Race Trac’s guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain inventory, oversee vendor check‑in, and communicate promotional updates to staff and guests.
• Execute key store processes such as write‑offs, cash wrap control, and compliance documentation.
• Lead shift‑change communication and keep the team aligned throughout the day.
• Relay important updates from leadership to shift associates and monitor task completion, providing constructive feedback.
• Conduct regular store walkthroughs, identify execution gaps, and provide real‑time coaching.
• Train associates on new and updated policies, ensuring alignment with Race Trac expectations.
• Manage inventory control processes, including accurate receiving and write‑off handling.
• Collaborate with vendors to guarantee accurate orders and foster positive relationships.
• Monitor material and merchandise status, directing associates to adjust stock levels as needed.
• Model teamwork by arriving on time, assisting during busy periods, and collaborating effectively with diverse team members.

• 2–3 years of retail, restaurant, or food‑service work experience.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑volume, guest‑focused settings.
• Strong communication, coaching, and team‑building skills.
• High school diploma or GED (in progress or completed).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks with minimal breaks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).
