Position: Casual Sales Ambassador

Sales Ambassadors at Lush are experts in product and brand knowledge, and provide exceptional customer consultations and product demonstrations. They cultivate strong team relationships and contribute to overall shop excellence in both sales and operations. On the shop floor, they consistently surpass daily sales goals while creating a fun and inclusive team environment that keeps customers coming back for more. They encourage putting themselves in the customer’s shoes to create a unique and memorable experience for every shopper and to make a positive impact on the world, one bar at a time.
ResponsibilitiesSales and Customer
Experience:
- Driving Sales: Utilize Store Force dashboard results and seek feedback to exceed sales goals. Take ownership of results and actively grow contribution to the store’s overall sales.
- Customer
Experience:
Consistently deliver a world‑class customer experience to every customer. Connect with customers, listen attentively, ask open‑ended questions, demonstrate product benefits, and seek opportunities to brighten customers’ day. - Building the Brand: Educate customers on Lush brand values (Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, Naked Packaging). Articulate these values in the shop and through community engagement to bring in more traffic and inspire others.
- Product Passion: Continually expand product knowledge with ongoing learning. Stay up to date on products, ingredients, and benefits to confidently recommend for every customer’s needs.
Team Involvement:
- Development: Use Lush resources to develop sales techniques and product knowledge, support team growth, and increase sales. Take ownership of development, assess performance, and seek feedback and resources.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Encourage open communication, listen to team perspectives on DEIB, foster teamwork, collaboration, and recognize each employee’s unique contributions.
Operational Excellence:
- Time and Attendance: Be punctual, reliable, and present. Prioritize wellbeing, take breaks when needed, and stay current with company news.
- Visuals and Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the shopping experience.
- Stock and Inventory: Use Visual Merchandising guidelines to adjust product displays in real time based on sales, improving the customer experience.
- Policies and Procedures: Practice company standards for opening and closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety.
Required:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- NOTE:
Candidates under the age of 18 who are selected will be employed on a contract basis through the Lush Youth Employment Program, in line with local employment and labour regulations.
Preferred:
- Experience with consultation‑based customer service models
- Strong problem‑solving skills to address issues that arise in day‑to‑day operations
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience working in skincare or cosmetics
- Experience in cross‑cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
