Position

Summary

Warehouse Worker is responsible for assisting in venue distribution/warehouse operations, including inventory, receiving, clean‑up, transfers, and equipment maintenance. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event‑driven schedule, which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self‑direction, and independent decision‑making skills are required. This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00‑$15.00.

About The Venue

Synovus Park is one of the newest and most modern minor league baseball and entertainment venues in the Southeast. Located in Columbus, Georgia, the ballpark is home to the Columbus Clingstones, the Double‑A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. Synovus Park hosts 69 professional baseball games each season while also serving as a year‑round destination. The venue accommodates over 5,200 fans with expanded capacity for large‑scale events, making it a premier gathering place for both sports and entertainment in the Chattahoochee Valley region.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for receiving and distribution control for the venue.
  • Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
  • Fulfill all event expectations, including—or not limited to—requisitioning during events, post‑event breakdown, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation, and maintenance.
  • Oversee and ensure appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotate and maintain product integrity.
  • Ensure a proper product transfer process between locations, including follow‑up documentation.
  • Assist in performing routine maintenance; responsible for concession and utility equipment cleaning and maintenance: portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting. Ensure manifested equipment is in location.
  • Evaluate warehouse employee performance. Maintain employee records, written warnings, reviews, and other related documents.
  • Conduct a walkthrough of the commissary, warehouse, and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously with employees, co‑workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests, fostering a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Make sound business/operations decisions (regarding employee placement, staffing adjustments, and/or responding to technical, product, or equipment challenges during an event) quickly and under pressure.
  • Work well in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced, event‑driven environment.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of all existing concession locations, including geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
  • Possess a valid Food Handler's certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by the provincial or local government.
  • Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc., pertaining to venue concession operations.
  • Consistently adhere to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–2+ years of food service/hospitality experience; similar venue experience a plus.
  • Food service certification.
  • Employee is frequently required to lift heavy objects.
  • Exposed to weather and non‑weather‑related cold temperatures.
