Job Description

Entry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business and achieving sales and service objectives. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, and sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. In‑depth awareness of store inventory and maintenance processes. Position can be part‑time or full‑time; fleet safety certification preferred.

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its sales objectives
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Handle inventory processes (truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock)

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• General stocking (truck stocking and back‑stock)
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

• Basic driving and navigation ability
• Proficiency with delivery board system
• Friendly communication
• Part location and stocking skills
• Safety knowledge and skills
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment
• Parts and automotive system knowledge
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems
• Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Read and interpret safety and operational documents, parts catalogs, procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately
• Work assorted days, evenings, weekends as needed

• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, delivering superior customer experiences

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer
• Daily collection of credit accounts

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• General stocking (truck stocking and back‑stock)

• Automotive parts experience preferred
• Certificates, licenses, registrations
• Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required

The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, with frequent lifting up to 50 lb and occasional lifting up to 100 lb. Requires ability to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is usually indoors, occasionally outdoors, with exposure to weather conditions. Tasks may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
