Inside Sales

Position Purpose

The primary function of Inside Sales is to provide product knowledge on building materials including drywall, insulation, metal studs for drywall, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, construction safety items, drywall compound, and accessories for the drywall industry.

• Take orders at the sales counter and over the phone.
• Build relationships with customers and collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine strategic sales approaches.
• Use the company computer system to enter orders and complete sales orders, tender cash sales, and prepare sales order forms and reports.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases, overcome objections, emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms.
• Maintain accurate communication with team and management in an office environment.

• High school diploma or GED required; 4‑year degree preferred.
• Ability to self‑manage, show initiative, meet the public, be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with office machinery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
