Security Officer

Overview

The Security Guard will protect people and property from possible criminal activity.

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to management and local authorities.
• Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.
• Contacts law enforcement, fire department, or EMS in case of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail oriented and strong written/verbal communication required.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Must pass background check.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time as well as walk, bend, and stoop on occasion.
• Abliable to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
