Position Summary
Energy Savers – Columbus, GA
Energy Savers is seeking a motivated HVAC Install Assistant to support our installation team with residential heating and cooling system installs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career in the HVAC trade while learning hands‑on from experienced technicians. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities- Assist lead installers with residential HVAC system installations, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, ductwork, and related components
- Load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites
- Help prepare job sites and ensure a clean, safe work environment
- Follow installation instructions and safety procedures at all times
- Support basic electrical, refrigerant line, and duct connections under supervision
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Provide courteous, professional interaction with homeowners
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the install team
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous construction or HVAC experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow direction
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
