Job Summary

We’re hiring experienced asphalt industry workers—laborers and equipment operators— for road/parking lot crews. If you’ve worked paving, patching, milling, or base work and can show up ready to work safely and reliably, we want to talk.

Responsibilities (may include)
Asphalt Laborer Duties
  • Rake, lute, and shovel asphalt to grade and smoothness specs
  • Assist with paving operations around joints, edges, curbs, and structures
  • Perform handwork for patching, leveling, and repairs
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices (cones, barrels, signs) as directed
  • Work around live traffic and moving equipment safely
  • Clean and prep surfaces (sweeping, tack coat assistance, removing debris)
  • Support milling operations and material handling
  • Use hand and power tools (plate compactor, cut‑off saw, blower, etc.)
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness and help with end‑of‑shift cleanup
Operator Duties (based on experience/certifications)
  • Operate equipment such as roller, skid steer, loader, paver, milling machine, excavator (as qualified)
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Communicate with foreman/crew to maintain production and quality
  • Follow grade, compaction, and finish requirements
  • Load/unload materials and assist with trucking coordination as needed
Requirements
  • Asphalt/paving experience required (laborer or operator)
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat/cold and in physically demanding conditions
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
    , stand/walk for long periods, and perform repetitive motion tasks
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance
  • Ability to follow safety rules and crew/foreman direction
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DOT/roadwork environments and traffic control
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus for some roles)
  • Equipment certifications and proven operator experience
  • Ability to read grade stakes/stringline (plus)
Schedule
  • Early mornings; hours vary by project and weather
  • Overtime and weekends may be available
