Perform HVAC control systems troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components.
- Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools along with hand tools, electrical testing meters, and electronic testing equipment.
- Provide front line technical and repair support through effective communication with Johnson Controls customers.
- Provide system repair or update recommendations and assist in proposing recommendations to customers.
- Assist in providing solutions to resolve service-related items and improve building efficiencies.
- Be part of an expanding team of technicians in the industry, building a career with a first-class global organization.
- Load Johnson Controls field and network level controller software; perform commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers and end devices.
- Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
- Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks including timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
- Execute company-sponsored and personally initiated training to maintain knowledge.
- Engage with customers to understand their systems and needs, communicating before and after site visits.
- Follow safety standards and attend required safety training; maintain high degree of employee and subcontractor safety.
- Provide recommendations and solutions, including upselling opportunities, and provide quotes.
- Vocational school program or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field plus one year of industry experience servicing electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical HVAC systems.
- Understanding of HVAC systems, sequence, and applications.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields.
- Ability to use hand, power tools, and electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeter).
- Solid knowledge base in use of personal computers.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication and listening skills.
Hourly range: $21-28. Compensation determined by education, experience, skills, and market data. Competitive benefits package included.
