- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of equipment, tools, and materials used in building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to read and understand building mechanical and electrical system blueprints and technical documents
- 2+ years of experience in facilities building maintenance and repair of carpentry, electrical, masonry, painting, plumbing, and irrigation work
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and adherence to all aspects of Aflac’s driving policy, including insurability by the company insurance carrier
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education & Experience Preferred- Completion of a recognized technical training program
- Proof of Environmental Protection Act mandated Universal Certification for handling high- and low-pressure refrigerants

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assembles, disassembles, and modifies modular office systems furniture; assists with preparation for special events and rearranging office furniture upon request
- Assists less experienced team members; resolves most questions and problems or provides advice when issues are not covered in procedures or policies
- Participates in monitoring performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems; performs repair/replacement of components such as control panels, water treatment, compressors, pumps, and fans
- Performs maintenance of plumbing systems, including repair of fixtures, modifications to plumbing and water supply systems, and installation of replacement parts
- Performs minor carpentry maintenance tasks such as sheetrock/drywall repair, cabinet and counter top replacement, and door and hardware installation
- Perform scheduled inspections of irrigation systems, maintains detailed records, develops and implements improvements/upgrades, and partners with landscapers to ensure proper irrigation plans
- Manages facilities maintenance work requests, documents requirements, and maintains appropriate records of work performed
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; monitors inventories, tracks usage, forecasts future needs, and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000. This range reflects factors such as education, experience, and geographic location and may be adjusted compensation package may also include incentive pay and other benefits.
