Job Summary
Join a high‑impact traveling crew as a Structural Framing and Steel Erection Foreman, leading steel, carpentry, and concrete formwork teams on dynamic projects. Salary ranges from $38 to $60 per hour, with time‑and‑a‑half overtime, performance bonuses, and company‑provided truck, hotel accommodations, and all heavy equipment/tools.
Responsibilities- Direct and schedule daily tasks for combined crews of ironworkers, carpenters, and laborers.
- Enforce OSHA compliance, including fall protection, rigging safety, and crane signaling.
- Conduct daily safety meetings (toolbox talks) and complete progress logs and timesheets.
- Manage tool logistics and ensure crews have necessary company‑provided machinery, power tools, and rigging gear.
- Direct rigging, hoisting, and crane‑setting of prefabricated metal wall panels (load‑bearing and non‑load‑bearing).
- Supervise safe rigging practices, precise wall layouts, panel sequencing, and connections.
- Oversee erection and bracing of wood, plywood, or heavy proprietary concrete form systems.
- Direct unloading, staging, lifting, and connection of structural steel columns, beams, girders, and trusses.
- Supervise aligning, bolting, torquing, or welding of structural steel connections.
- Verify plumbing, leveling, and alignment using lasers, transits, and other instruments.
- Hand off completed formwork, wall frameworks, and embeds to concrete placement teams.
- 3–5 years of experience in structural steel erection, prefabricated metal wall installation, and/or concrete formwork (shoring, framing, formwork), with 1–2 years in a foreman or lead role.
- Proven ability to manage and direct multiple crews simultaneously.
- Strong blueprint reading, layout, and spatial layout instrument skills.
- Experience with crane rigging/signaling, structural connections, and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to work at heights, lift up to 75 lbs, and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no major offenses).
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Competitive hourly pay, time‑and‑a‑half overtime for 50–60 hour weeks, performance bonuses on profitable projects, company‑provided truck, hotel accommodations, all heavy equipment/tools, and every other weekend home rotation as part of a 100% travel role.
