CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III (Telecommunications Engineering Tech, III) Position Location:
Fort Gordon, GA
We seek a CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III to support a Federal Government client at our Ft. Gordon, GA location. The Telecommunications Tech will provide on-site support of IT and A/V installations within the CCoE Transformation program don, GA.
This position currently requires an onsite schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities- Builds AV racks based on drawings provided by the engineering team
- Leads on site integration and installation
- Labels communications infrastructure including cable, panels, patch cords and electronics
- Installation and mounting of equipment, such as monitors, speakers, and microphones, to ceilings and walls in secure spaces
- Fabrication, termination, and installation of AV cabling
- Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various AV systems
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing existing AV systems
- Performs inventory management and records configuration information on installed equipment and software modules
As experience is gained and ability is demonstrated, travel will be expected to support on-site installations. Candidates must be willing to travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites up to three weeks at a time. Total travel is approximately 50-75%.
Required Qualifications- 6+ years of experience performing testing and/or integration of audio visual (A/V) equipment
- Ability to follow basic flow diagrams
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communications abilities
- Experience using MS Office products
- Must be able to lift items up to National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) limits
- Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to work in high places, as well as small, cramped, or confined spaces
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must maintain a valid passport
- J-STD Certification(s)
- Experience with testing fiber and/or copper
- AV certifications a plus
A high school diploma or GED
ClearanceAll applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.
CompensationThe SCA role at The MIL Corporation is subject to the regulations and guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor. This position is classified as a service contract and is subject to specific wage determinations and benefit requirements mandated by the government. The compensation and benefits for this position will be in accordance with the prevailing wage rates and benefits specified by the Department of Labor for the specific job classification and location.
The current rate is $28.79 - $33.11 per hour. Final salary will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
