Join us as we grow! Our new Randolph, MN location is set to open in early May 2026, and we are beginning the hiring process now. We will be reviewing applications and interviewing on a rolling basis, allowing us to adjust start dates to fit your schedule and business needs. This position may include an in‑person training period at our Le Sueur, MN facility.

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems and equipment within the raw material quartz processing facility. This role involves working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human‑machine interfaces (HMIs), sensors, and other automation components to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Install, configure, and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human‑machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated systems, including conveyors, mills, and other processing equipment.
- Calibrate and maintain sensors, actuators, and other control devices.
- Develop and update automation system documentation, including electrical schematics, control diagrams, and operating procedures.
- Work with electrical systems, variable frequency drives, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize system performance and resolve issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on automated systems and equipment.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance automation system reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure that all automation activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new automation projects.
- Provide technical support and training to operations personnel on automation systems.
- Work with maintenance technicians to ensure equipment is available to operations.
- Additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in a mining, processing, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human‑machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing automated systems and equipment.
- Strong understanding of industrial sensors, actuators, and control devices.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to automation systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for programming and documentation.
- Ability to acquire and retain all necessary safety certifications.
- Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial automation.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- High attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.

- Work well both independently and with a team.

- Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings.
