Major Project Travel Technician 2 – Power (Any US city)
Powering customers across the United States, leading generator installation, maintenance, and repair for large events, utilities, and refinery turnarounds. The role requires travel up to 75% of the time.
Responsibilities- Install, commission, service, and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC units, and/or oil‑free air (OFA) systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures on major projects and in service centers.
- Use mathematical formulas to calculate nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related safety regulations; promote safe working conditions.
- Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures and design proactive notifications.
- Support remote site operations, assist utilities customers, and participate in refinery turnaround teams.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 8+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Electrical Generating System Association technician or other relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
- Proficiency with metering and instruments such as multimeters, amp meters, and hygrometers.
- Capability to obtain/maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel and squat, and perform general physical tasks as described in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment.
- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations, and be on standby for work outside regular shifts.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk over uneven terrain; move extremities and spine through functional range of motion; and have adequate finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and grip strength.
- Competitive hourly pay ($30.00‑$44.00) plus a $2.50/hr travel allowance and potential overtime/weekend pay.

- Must be able to lift 60 lbs, push/pull 80 lbs, carry 60 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, and perform combined climbing with 15‑lb objects.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel and squat as required.
