- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card required.
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- This role requires English language proficiency (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)).
- Work the required schedule, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
- The position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Accept responsibility for personal and others’ safety.
- Must meet the physical and mental demands described; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.
- Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Movement: regularly lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
