Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Logistics Specialist and Freight Broker role based in Columbus, GA. The role involves managing daily freight operations, including sourcing and booking loads, matching freight with appropriate carriers, and coordinating pick-up and delivery schedules. The Logistics Specialist and Freight Broker will monitor shipment status, troubleshoot delays, and communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal staff. Responsibilities include negotiating rates, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
The role also requires using transportation management systems and related tools to track loads, update documentation, and support timely, cost-effective freight movement.

- Prior experience in freight brokerage, trucking operations, or logistics coordination is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of U.S. trucking regulations, lanes east of the Mississippi River, and common industry practices is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications in logistics or transportation are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Columbus, GA, collaborate with a small team, and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
