Sprague Hotel Developers is seeking an experienced Financial Director to oversee financial operations, strengthen accounting processes, and provide strategic financial guidance to leadership. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance leader who can balance hands-on accounting oversight with big-picture planning, compliance, and team development.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, accounting management, and reporting activities.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain strong internal controls.
- Lead cost analysis, budgeting support, forecasting, and financial performance review.
- Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, month-end close, and related accounting processes.
- Review and analyze financial statements to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and support accounting team members while fostering accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Progressive experience in accounting, finance leadership, or financial management.
- Experience with Acumatica or similar cloud-based ERP/accounting software and 3rd-party payroll processing preferred. HR experience is beneficial but not required.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger management, financial statements, budgeting, cost analysis, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting or finance staff.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
