Construction Assistant Project Manager Details:
- Direct hire position
- $ 65,000.00 to $ 75,000.00 / annually
- First shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
Assist Project Managers in coordinating and managing the administrative and technical aspects of construction projects.
Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.
Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, permits, change orders, contracts, and closeout documentation.
Assist with project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and cost coding.
Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating activities and scope development.
Participate in value engineering efforts and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
Attend project meetings and provide project status updates as needed.
Assist with preparation and maintenance of project schedules and project reports.
Support project closeout activities including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and final documentation.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and client presentations when required.
Maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Assist in resolving project issues and coordinating communication between field and office personnel.
Support Project Managers and Superintendents with schedule updates and project coordination efforts.
Combination of office and construction site environments.
Construction Assistant Project Manager
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- or equivalent experience. - Understanding of construction methods, materials, estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
- Experience with construction management or project management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
