Overview
As a Summer Program Coordinator, you’ll assist Recreation Programmers with planning, organizing, and implementing the City's summer recreation programs.
Our Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department is a team of talented individuals dedicated to providing access to facilities, maintaining parks and trails, and running recreation programs and events that make a difference in our community.
This non-exempt role offers a starting salary of $18.47/hr learn more about the Summer Program Coordinator position here.
Responsibilities- Planning and implementing a diverse range of recreational activities.
- Involving and motivating program participants while creating a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Develop youth program plans and activities that meet the needs of participants.
- Assist with the evaluation of programs and events.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive public image.
- Maintaining program supplies and equipment to meet program needs.
- Must have a college degree or course work leading to a degree in recreation, education, or related field.
- Must have a driver’s license or the ability to obtain.
- Local government experience preferred.
