Overview
ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 3rd-5th Grade Teacher at Columbus Bilingual Central in Columbus, Ohio. The position is focused on providing a superior education for all students, with an emphasis on creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

The school supports students in grades K-5 with a consistent uniform policy, a PBIS system, and the Blitz academic model designed to empower students to reach their full potential and become leaders in a diverse world. Columbus Bilingual Central is part of ACCEL Schools, a network of public charter schools serving K-12 students since 2014.
Aboutthe Opportunity
The Teacher provides instructional planning and delivery, adapts instruction to meet diverse student needs, and supports the school community through collaboration and family engagement.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify during the school year
- Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students
- Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development
- Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
- Manage student behavior in the classroom
- Create a positive classroom environment for learning
- Utilize school-approved curricula reflecting the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of students
- Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms
- Communicate and meet with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth
- Incorporate technology skills to support learning
- Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities as needed
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to supervise students in various school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working within an urban environment

Compensationand Benefits
The salary range for this position is $41,000.00–$49,000.00. Final starting pay may reflect geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
