Job Summary
Conducts performance and reliability testing on engines, components, systems, and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct performance and reliability testing on multiple and single cylinder engines, components, systems and controls.
- Diagnose engines, components, systems, controls, and test cell problems and initiate appropriate resolutions.
- Configure and operate data acquisition systems; analyze data, write programs, configure engine test programs, interpret results, adjust parameters, and document data.
- Perform rig, engine, and component builds, tear‑down, and inspections.
- Grade and measure components.
- Create sketches for machining and fabricate necessary piping, tubing, and brackets from prints and drawings.
- Install engines and instrumentation in test cells and rigs.
- Use common tools such as Calterm, Asset, Cyflex, etc.
- Design, document, and execute test plans; provide input during creation of test plans; prepare test reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Apply company and department rules and guidelines to work.
- Train apprentices and technicians.
- Coordinate programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
- Participate in the maintenance of quality procedures.
- Lead and participate in improvement projects.
- Develop and give presentations to customers and suppliers.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality as required.
- Participate in self‑ and team‑audits and corrective action.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Department of Labor Certification or four years experience/education requirement accomplished through either Bachelors degree in related field or associate’s degree in related field and at least two years of relevant experience.
Friday through Sunday 3‑12 schedule, 7 am‑7 pm.
Execute mechanical work and through AVL PUMA data acquisition systems.
Support internal customer test plans and program related needs.
Promote teamwork through offering/accepting guidance from others.
May require weekday training program before assigned to weekend shift.
Work required to be completed 100% in person/On‑site.
