US-Canada Powertrain C&C Specialist
We are looking for a talented US-Canada Powertrain C&C Specialist to join our team. In this product-focused role, you will serve as a key technical leader responsible for driving product integration, system performance, and engineering decision-making across the product lifecycle. Working closely with product engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, purchasing, and customer-facing stakeholders, you will help deliver reliable, high-quality solutions while navigating complex technical challenges and competing priorities.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in systems engineering, product verification and validation, requirements management, interface integration, and root cause problem solving. You will leverage tools and methodologies such as iDFMEA, ESW processes, 7-Step Problem Solving, design reviews, system modeling, simulation, and failure mode avoidance to guide technical decisions and improve product outcomes. Success in this role requires strong systems thinking, sound decision-making, collaboration across functions, and the ability to lead complex projects with accountability and technical influence.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead cross-functional engineering efforts to deliver integrated product solutions that meet performance, quality, and business objectives.
- Drive technical decision-making by evaluating data, stakeholder input, and product requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Improve product reliability by identifying potential failure modes and implementing proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate system integration activities across engineering disciplines, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and customer stakeholders.
- Develop and execute validation strategies that verify product capability and ensure requirements are achieved.
- Solve complex product issues through structured root cause analysis and data-driven corrective actions.
- Enhance engineering processes, tools, and best practices to increase efficiency and support quality outcomes.
- Mentor and guide engineers, technicians, and project teams while fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong expertise in systems engineering, product integration, requirements management, and product lifecycle execution.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using structured methodologies, analytical thinking, and sound engineering judgment.
- Proven success leading projects or owning critical product systems while managing ambiguity, risk, and competing priorities.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience applying validation, simulation, failure analysis, and quality improvement processes to drive product performance and reliability.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
- Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
