Mortgage Loan Assistant; Columbus

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mortgage Loan Officer in obtaining required documentation from borrowers and other staff to assure loans are closed in a timely manner meeting customer expectations.
• Assure documentation meets all regulatory and agency guidelines.
• Work with the Mortgage Loan Officer in marketing First Financial Bank to increase productivity.
• Act as an interface between Loan Officer and Operations to obtain required documentation.
• Work with other Mortgage systems as needed.
• Interface with customers as needed.
• Assist the Loan Officer in marketing efforts.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of one year experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or Mortgage Loan Officer.
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 lbs.
• Frequently lifts and carries up to 10 lbs.
• Occasionally drives.
• Frequently sits, stands, and walks.

The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures. This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.

This position pays at least the applicable state minimum wage plus commission opportunities based on performance.
