Talis Group’s client, a leading food and consumer products manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on, people-focused BILINGUAL HR Manage
r to lead Human Resources at a large, high-volume manufacturing facility 30 miles South of Columbus, IN. This is a high-visibility leadership role for an HR professional who enjoys being on the production floor, building trust with employees, and helping move a culture forward. Position reports to the VP of Human Resources. This opportunity will provide relocation for the right candidate.
Salary range: $120 - $140k plus amazing bonuses, very low health premiums, 401(k) match, profit sharing and, etc.

Highlighted Duties- Serve as the HR Manager for a large unionized manufacturing site.
- Partner with plant leadership to drive people strategy aligned to business goals.
- Be a visible presence on the floor, addressing issues early and promoting positive employee relations.
- Work with VP of HR to handle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles in a competitive labor market.
- Manage union relationships and grievances.
- Handle workplace investigations, discipline, and policy enforcement with consistency and fairness.
- Use HR data and metrics to support decision-making and workforce planning.
- Eventually this role will lead and develop a small on-site HR team supporting employee relations, recruiting, training, and safety.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience); SHRM certification preferred.
- MUST be fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing.
- Seeking experience in union environment.
- Proven ability to coach and train Supervisors.
- Comfortable being on the production floor every day.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Deep knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Able to support a multi-shift operation as needed.
