The AUTOSAR Boot loader Engineer will be responsible for the development, integration, and validation of AUTOSAR-based Bootloaders for Vehicle Control Unit (VCU).
This includes design and deployment of secure flashing and FOTA (Flashing Over The Air) capabilities, along with Cybersecurity (HSM, Secure Boot, Secure Flash) enablement using the ESCRYPT Cycur
HSM stack and ETAS iSOLAR-B configuration environment.
The engineer will collaborate closely with AUTOSAR BSW, platform, cybersecurity, and validation teams to deliver production-grade, safety- and security-compliant Boot loader solutions aligned with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434 standards.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for development and testing of AUTOSAR Boot loader for Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) projects.
- Responsible for development and validation of FOTA (Flashing Over The Air) functionality for Vehicle Control Unit projects.
- Support implementation and validation of Cybersecurity features — Secure Flash, Secure Boot, and HSM integration — on Vehicle Control and Motor Control ECUs using Cycur
HSM/Cycur
BOOT. - Implement and validate Memory Stack modules (FLS, FEE, NVM) within Boot loader architecture.
- Implement and validate Communication Stack modules (CAN, CANIF, CANTP, DCM) to enable UDS-based reprogramming and diagnostics.
- Configure and integrate AUTOSAR Boot loader architecture (Primary/Secondary) using ETAS iSOLAR-B, RTA-OS, and EB tresos for MCAL and memory configuration.
- Integrate and test secure firmware update and validation mechanisms, including signature verification, key handling, and rollback protection through Cycur
HSM. - Develop and maintain Boot loader configuration documentation, Flash layout definitions, and interface specifications.
- Debug and validate Boot loader functionalities using Trace
32, CANoe, CANalyzer, GHS, and Infineon Memtool / UDE tools. - Coordinate with customer teams, support design reviews, and participate in ECU integration and production readiness activities.
- Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture with focus on Boot loader, BSW, and Memory/Communication stacks.
- Hands-on experience with ETAS iSOLAR-B, RTA-RTE, RTA-OS, and EB tresos configuration tools.
- In-depth understanding of ESCRYPT Cycur
HSM / Cycur
BOOT for secure boot and key management. - Practical experience with FOTA, Secure Flash, and Secure Boot implementations.
- Strong working knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229) and CAN / CAN-FD communication protocols.
- Experience with Infineon AURIX TC2xx / TC3xx microcontrollers and HSM firmware integration.
- Proficiency in Memory Stack modules (FLS, FEE, NVM) configuration and validation.
- Expertise in Communication Stack modules (CAN, CANIF, CANTP, DCM) within Boot loader and BSW.
- Good understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) compliance processes.
- Debugging and validation experience using CANoe, CANalyzer, Trace
32, GHS, and similar embedded tool chains. - Familiarity with Git, SVN, ALM, and ASPICE documentation workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities for low-level embedded systems.
- Clear communication skills for collaboration with internal and customer engineering teams.
- Documentation accuracy and discipline aligned with ASPICE compliance.
- Ability to take ownership of modules and deliver across multiple ECU programs.
