Purpose Statement
The District Technology Specialist manages the technical health of the district's enterprise operations. This role combines high-level system administration with dedicated, professional support for district leadership.
Essential Job Functions- Systems Administration:
Manage and optimize Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments to ensure seamless district-wide operations. - Excellent Tech Support:
Provide dedicated technical support for district-level administrative offices to ensure business continuity. - Account & Identity Management:
Manage the creation, maintenance, and deactivation of user accounts and permissions to ensure staff and students have the appropriate access. - Endpoint Management:
Lead the deployment and management of desktop images, mobile devices, and endpoint security across all district hardware. - Hardware Operations:
Handle advanced hardware diagnostics and repairs for district devices that require a deeper level of technical expertise. - Technical Lead for Building Techs:
Serve as the primary point of contact for Building Technicians when they encounter complex issues that require specialized knowledge or elevated permission. - Digital Assessments:
Manage the systems and applications required for local and state online testing to ensure a stable environment for students and staff. - Documentation & Resources:
Develop clear, practical "how-to" guides and videos for both technical staff and general users. - Advanced Troubleshooting:
Stay current with evolving technology standards to effectively diagnose and resolve complex issues across a diverse range of hardware and software. - Operational Initiative:
Takes ownership of the district's technical environment, proactively researching and recommending improvements to current workflows and processes. - Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of Intune, Google Admin, and Windows/Chrome OS.
- Experience with Power Shell is a plus.
- Incident
IQ, Adobe, JAMF system management. - Strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to coordinate multiple technical projects at once while meeting strict deadlines.
- High levels of initiative by identifying system inefficiencies and implementing solutions before they impact end-users.
- Must maintain absolute discretion regarding student and employee data.
- Works in standard office and school building environments
- Occasionally works in confined areas (wiring closets) or other service areas of school building
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling 40-50lbs; some walking and standing may be required when traveling to customer locations and while working at a user workstation to resolve problems. Generally, the job requires 65% sitting, 20% walking and 15% standing.
- Occasional work on a ladder or lift to repair, remove, or install equipment
- Education:
A 2-year technical degree (or equivalent coursework/experience). - Experience:
At least 3 years in a technical support or systems admin role. - Certifications:
A+, Network+, or similar industry credentials are preferred.

- Starting Salary -$28..9-33.89 based on experience
- An additional $1 per hour will be paid from referendum funds
