The IT Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for Windows‑based computers and servers. This role provides on‑site and remote technical support to clients, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025)
- Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checks
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 issues
- Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution to end‑user issues
- Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals
- Document all service activity, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing and documentation systems
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devices
- Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection and patch management

Columbus, Bloomington, client sites
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- 1+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server environments
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, switches, routers)
- Excellent problem‑solving and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certification
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with remote support tools and PSA/RMM platforms
- Power Shell scripting experience
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation for on‑site client visits
