DWU - CESC - Team Associate - Shift

Job Summary

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance. Assembles a variety of components to create an end product.

• Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
  Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards. Report work‑related injury, illness, incident or hazard. Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures and regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Promote interdependence by watching out for one another. Correct hazards within control and capabilities. Recognize impact on environment and minimize negative impact. Engage in HSE training.
• Quality:
  Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures (SPC, poka‑yoke, visual standards). Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures. Perform quality inspections. Identify and control non‑conforming material.
• Delivery:
  Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product that meets customer expectations, required cycle time and engineering standards.
• Production:
  Demonstrate high competency in core work skills. Achieve production goals. Maintain a clean, orderly work area with routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
• Maintenance & Repairs:
  Perform operator care and maintenance tasks; work with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain equipment and identify repair needs.
• Teamwork:
  Communicate effectively with the assigned team and all support teams. Participate actively in continuous improvement of quality, safety, process, material flow and employee development. Take on team representative role as needed.
• Problem Solving:
  Collect, analyze and display operating data; use common problem‑solving techniques when issues arise.
• Material Handling:
  Use hoists and forklifts to move parts and skids, including hoist inspections.
• Flexibility:
  Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties to meet production goals and get the job done. Operate within a team‑based work system and rotate job routine as needed.

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Must pass all related testing.

• Minimal relevant experience required.
• Six months work experience preferred.

Cummins Inc. – On‑site.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 5am-5pm.
