Position Summary
Responsible for demonstrating operator efficiency, safety and quality by thorough understanding of all Coater stations by following the emulsion & silicone coating processes and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ability to perform and understand all positions on the Coater to meet production requirements.
- Perform all required quality control testing at the machine and make decisions to change the process per results.
- Produce the product on the shop order within process specifications.
- Report all required information into E2000 to relieve inventories properly.
- Clean the machine and areas as required to maintain a superior level of cleanliness.
- Perform all required machine preventive maintenance tasks as required by the maintenance department.
- Assume responsibility for the operation of the entire machine while running.
- Load face and backing material into machine, assure correct raw material is run per the order.
- Compound adhesive, release, topcoat and primer for the coater per the process specification.
- Unload tankers of adhesive and perform QA testing per specifications.
- Operate forklift and RF gun to move material.
- Perform cycle counts on chemicals and compounds.
- Completes all daily 5S and cleaning requirements of the Coater.
- Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices and consistently work in a safe manner about self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
- Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicates to others in a professional manner at all times.
- Participative in shift and team meetings.
- Must be available to work overtime.
- Perform all other functions and duties as assigned.
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Computer
Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory control software.

Must be able to walk up steps occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
